Learn moreHow Does Your Community Move?
“When we think about how our community moves we should also think about how our nation has moved and what has stopped it. What do we do to get our nation moving? We choose love, not hate. We choose inclusiveness, not exclusiveness.”
Dennis Powell, President of NAACP Berkshire County Branch
“My community moves through the connections that create the foundation of hope so we can plant seeds together. Doing this work is a necessity. It’s a survival strategy. Because of all the ugliness, we have to create beauty.”
Anaelisa Jacobsen, Founder of Manos Unidas Multicultural Educational Cooperative
“My community right now is moving in an eye-opening direction. There are some areas where we’re not moving very well. But around me my community is moving very well. Because of my community, I feel like I’m leaving my old skin for new skin, like a snake.”
JOSE BRUNO SANTIAGO, Manos Unidas MEMBER FOR 9 YEARS
