“J.R.” Glover, The Carole & Dan Burack Director of The School
Co-founder | Jacob’s Pillow Curriculum in Motion™
“J.R.” Glover has worked at the Pillow since 1993, though her first Pillow experience was as an intern in 1988. She steers the development of The School’s professional advancement programs by working closely with the Jacob’s Pillow Director and each of the Program Directors. She is a co-founder/advisor of Jacob’s Pillow Curriculum in Motion™ and a founding steering committee member of the Lift Ev’ry Voice Festival: Celebrating African American Cultural Heritage in the Berkshires. Previously she taught, danced, and/or directed programs at American University, Children’s Studio School, Cross-cultural Dance Lab, Houston Independent School District, Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife, and more. J.R.’s favorite things are the wide world of dance, jazz music, and cultural immersion experiences, especially when food is involved!
