CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY | ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

Danyel Moulton was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 19th, 1996. She spent her childhood years in California, and was a competitive gymnast until 2010. She managed to backflip her way into the Orange County High School of the Arts (OCSA) where she got accepted into the Commercial Dance conservatory. She graduated from OCSA in 2014, and attended UCLA, where she majored in World Arts & Cultures/Dance. After graduating in 2018 with her BA, she continued to use the skills she learned to teach dance to high school students. She became a faculty member at her alma mater, teaching hip hop in the Commercial Dance Conservatory as well as becoming a hip hop coach at PV Peninsula High School. While balancing these two jobs she continued to lead two competitive hip hop dance teams, V Mo and LFG. Most recently at Hip Hop International 2019, V Mo won first place at USA Finals and LFG made it to World Finals and got 3rd place (and the first all female Adult team to represent Team USA). She prides herself on her work ethic and passion, and hopes to inspire the people around her to unlock their best self.
