Adrian Tenorio (he/him), among the most talented and well respected Latin dancers to come from the Midwest, is an experienced artist in styles such as the Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Colombian Folklore, jazz, ballet, modern, and African dance. A born dancer, Adrian has a natural flavor combined with various styles and techniques that he has merged to call his own. A dancer for the world-renowned Descarga Caribe Dance Company, Adrian has trained extensively under the internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer, Sekou McMiller. Through performing around the globe with notable dance partners Cristina Zavala and Kimberly Rivera, Adrian’s performance quality and choreographic work quickly gained him notoriety in the national and international dance scenes. He has performed and conducted workshops in countries such as Angola, Canada, Curacao, England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Turkey, and countless cities in the U.S. Adrian’s most notable accomplishments include receiving sixth place in the 2016 World Salsa Summit (Male Solo Division), second place in the 2010 Curacao International Salsa Tour Competition, second place in the 2009 Nacional 27 Salsa Competition, second place in the 2006 International Hustle and Salsa Competition, and serving as a champion for the Chicago Salsa Open Competition (2009, 2010, 2015) and the 2008 Nacional 27 Salsa Competition. Currently, Adrian serves as the Artistic Director of The Moves Project, a company he founded in 2015, in addition to his continued performance work with dancer Daniela Leon.
