Five years after the original building was lost to a fire, the new Doris Duke Theatre will open its doors to a new era, featuring U.S. and international artists performing astonishing works. Our Opening Week Celebration—held during the third week of Festival 2025—offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of one of the most technologically advanced theaters in the world dedicated to dance.
The new Doris Duke Theatre is a living lab, built to provide a space for cutting-edge artists to combine dance and creative technologies unto unforgettable live performances that can be enjoyed by both in-person and virtual audiences. With something new and immersive to see, hear, and feel each day, the Opening Week Celebration is a communal call for every dance lover to experience what’s to come.
