About

Fast-paced footwork, explosive drumming, whirling lasso boleadoras–this thrilling display of dance and music celebrates the unique traditions of the South American cowboy. Danced solely by men, the traditional Malambo began in the 17th century as a competitive duel that challenged agility, strength, and speed. Today, Che Malambo performs the dance style re-imagined in an exhilarating, entertaining performance by an all-male company of 14 Argentinean gauchos.

In The Press…

Che Malambo “sent the audience into uproarious applause.” Read the full New York Times review.

Janine Parker of The Boston Globe calls the performance “exquisite” and “mystifying“. Read the full review.
