About
Fast-paced footwork, explosive drumming, whirling lasso boleadoras–this thrilling display of dance and music celebrates the unique traditions of the South American cowboy. Danced solely by men, the traditional Malambo began in the 17th century as a competitive duel that challenged agility, strength, and speed. Today, Che Malambo performs the dance style re-imagined in an exhilarating, entertaining performance by an all-male company of 14 Argentinean gauchos.

What People Are Saying About Che Malambo
“Fourteen stomping, drumming, roaring men pounded rapid-fire rhythms into the ground with many surfaces of their feet–heels, toes, inside and especially outside edges–and with spinning boleadoras, floor-skimming stones attached to lassoes…a rousing group spectacle.”
