Tuition includes all workshop and critique sessions, individual coaching, shooting sessions, tickets to two Festival performances, attendance to Festival Finale event, and three meals a day. There are no additional model or location fees. Additional performance tickets may be purchased through the Jacob's Pillow Box Office as available; keep in mind additional attendance may be limited by your busy sessions, shooting and editing schedule.

Fees & Deposits
A non-refundable processing fee of $50 and a tuition deposit of $500 are due on registration. All fee balances are due by June 1, 2016. Registration is by mail or fax. Click here for how to register.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you cancel on or before June 1, 2016, you will be refunded your deposit minus a $250 cancellation fee. If you cancel after June 1, 2016, there are no refunds. We cannot be responsible for non-refundable airline tickets or other costs.

Waiting Lists
Waiting lists are maintained for filled workshops. We will let you know if you are placed on a waiting list. No deposit (other than the $50 processing fee) is necessary to hold a space on the waiting list. If a space opens you will be contacted by email and phone. You must respond within 24 hours. Your tuition deposit will then be required immediately.

Required Equipment
Participants are required to own and bring:
  • SLR Digital Camera/lenses
  • Laptop with Photoshop, Lightroom, or other editing capability 
  • External USB hard drive (thumb-drive or other)
  • Current portfolio--digital or print for first session
Optional Items
  • Tripod
  • Hand held light meter
  • Property insurance is strongly recommended
Please note: Photo printing while on site at the Pillow will not be possible. Critique of new work will be via digital projection only.

Personal Property
Jacob's Pillow is not responsible for the security of property belonging to participants, instructors, or staff. Personal property insurance is strongly recommended.

Images Copyright
Photographers will retain copyright to images created during the workshop, but by signing a usage rights agreement, photographers will grant to Jacob's Pillow, dancer models and dance companies, rights for educational, promotional, and archival usage (excluding commercial usage).

Jacob's Pillow's historic campus is located on terrain that is at times steep and uneven. Jacob's Pillow will make every effort to provide appropriate access to people with known disabilities to the degree possible without posing an undue hardship on the organization. Participants are not permitted to have pets with them while at Jacob's Pillow.

Unacceptable Behavior, Drugs, Alcohol
Jacob's Pillow reserves the right to dismiss any participant, without refund, for behavior that is disruptive to the community environment. The legal drinking age in Massachusetts is 21. The use of illegal drugs while at Jacob's Pillow is strictly prohibited. We cannot tolerate behavior that jeopardizes your safety, the safety of others, or adherence to laws and regulations.
