August 14, 2018 (Becket, MA)— San Francisco-based ODC/Dance returns to Jacob’s Pillow for the first time in more than two decades. Led by four female resident choreographers—Brenda Way, KT Nelson, Kimi Okada, and Kate Weare—ODC/Dance is widely recognized for its rigorous technique, full-throttle partnering, interdisciplinary collaboration, and musical commissions. Praised as “full-bodied and expansive without being showy or brawny” (The New Yorker), the company brings two striking works: the visually stunning and poignant Dead Reckoning, featuring original music from former Kronos Quartet cellist Joan Jeanrenaud, and the enigmatic and geometric Triangulating Euclid.
“ODC/Dance has not been to the Pillow since 1994 and we’re excited to re-introduce audiences to the impressive work of this San Francisco-based company,” says Jacob’s Pillow Director Pamela Tatge.
