An Extraordinary Place to See Dance
Jacob's Pillow is unparalleled in the intimacy of the experience, the deep sense of history and innovation, and the wealth of activities that are offered. Visitors are especially fond of staying for the entire day.
- See world-class dance performances as part of the Festival.
- Explore the grounds of this National Historic Landmark--stroll the gardens, walk the Wetlands Trail, observe dancers or students in rehearsal, or soak up the Pillow's idyllic atmosphere.
- Join a guided tour of the campus on Fridays and Saturdays at 5:30pm; tours start at the Welcome Center.
- Browse through the Archives, with rare holdings encompassing 90 years of dance, video stations, a library, and exhibits. Open from noon until the final curtain.
- Attend free outdoor performances at the Inside/Out stage, staring at 6:30pm. Feel free to bring a picnic!
- Learn more about dance from artists and Pillow Scholars-in-Residence in our series of PillowTalks, as well as attend free Pre-show Talks before every performance and weekly Post-show Talks.
- Enjoy dinner and drinks at the Pillow Cafe or Pillow Pub, or have a snack in the Tea Garden from the Coffee or Ice Cream Bar.
- You can even take a class! Morning Jumpstart Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 8-9am. Take a Master Class from artists performing at the Pillow, Sundays 10:30am-12pm. Intergenerational Classes are offered as well.
- Pick up a gift or souvenir of dance memorabilia, books, videos, and unique Pillow items at the Pillow Store.
Don't forget the Special Events held at the Pillow during the summer season and at other locations throughout the year.
