Inside/Out
"Jacob's Pillow is one of America's most precious cultural assets -- a haven for choreographers and dancers and an environment that nurtures the creation of new work."
- Mikhail Baryshnikov
A Stunning Berkshire Stage
Constructed in 1981 to provide additional rehearsal space, this outdoor stage is set against a stunning Berkshire Hills backdrop and is known as the Marcia and Seymour Simon Performance Space. Paul Taylor launched Taylor 2 and David Parsons first showcased his group here. This Inside/Out stage is part of the Pillow's Audience Engagement program that offers over 200 free events every Festival.
The public is invited to experience emerging artists, sneak previews, and dancers of The School at Jacob's Pillow through free performances Wednesdays through Saturdays at 6:15pm each week of the Festival.
