Under the direction of Milton Myers, studio and performance experiences
prepare dancers to meet the expectations of today's leading artistic directors. Three renowned and stylistically diverse guest choreographers create work on dancers and teach excerpts of their signature repertoire. Dancers learn how to communicate choreographic intent, and work as a professional ensemble. The repertoire is performed for the public July 17, 24, and 31 on the free Inside/Out series. Dancers are also coached in a wide range of movement vocabularies to build the technical and performance skills required to work as articulate, versatile artists. Six distinguished master teachers lead daily classes in ballet, body conditioning, and contemporary dance.
Attending Festival performances, talks, exhibits, and master classes, and studying in the Archives, are part of this immersion experience in dance. Click here for faculty bios.
For 24 advanced pre-professional and professional dancers with strong performance facilities, age 16 and up.
